I live in baptistville.

You have no idea.

And before any other baptists (who actually believe in breastfeeding) get mad at me, it has not been my happy experience.

I am beginning to think I live in Idiotville.

Truly, it's not just here. When I lived in Toledo OH, I actually learned to take clothes in with me to dressing rooms, when I just wanted to sit and breastfeed my child. I had women get upset with me for not having clothes to try on ask me why I wanted a dressing room and then make awful faces when I told them why I wanted privacy.

It does get exhausting at times when you try to educate people who have preconceived ideas that even something as beautiful as breastfeeding is NOT your wanting a baby to suck on you "just because it feels good".

My own mother-in-law thought it was terrible. So many people won't even do it.

It's so freaking sad.

And then there was the woman I knew who had twins. She came in to work and told everybody she just LOVED it when both of her babies breastfed at the same time "cuz it maykz me feel sooo sexy!"
