i forget exactly what the action is of cinnamon. the phrase that is used is that it "decreases insulin resistance." i am assuming that it is a different mechanism from iodine, which increases insulin receptivity. i kept my dad from diabetes meds using some diet changes and cinnamon capsules. he is convinced by doctors that he is allergic to iodine.
the two together are a one-two punch. of course, one must remain mindful of how they got there in the first place and make diet and lifestyle changes or the progression will continue.
