Re: Hernia after c-section

I have just recently found out that I have a hernia, it was very painful but I didn't feel it pop out as some people describe, it just really started hurting one day and when I put my hand there I felt a small lump so I had the doctor check it out, first they did an ultrasound to check my ovaries etc but nothing showed up so they did a muscular/sceletal ultrasound and I was told it was a hernia. It felt to me as though it was related to my c-section scar, it feels like it is attached to the right hand side of my scar and quite deep, there is no visible lump. The sergeon has told me he thinks it may be related to my c-section scar and he is only 90% sure it is a hernia and says he will investigate and repair but I have to wait 9 months to get in though the public hospital system. It is very frustrating still really not knowing and having to wait so long. The pain keeps subsiding then escalating again. I just want to get back to being active again with my 2 children. They are 10 and 7 now, strange for this to happen now. Does anyone have any idea on whats going on? If it really sounds like a hernia, because it sounds so much different to what most people seem to describe.
