Chavez was recently on the news again....Much maligned for getting rid of the central banks....

Just curious since I'm not familiar with this news. Chavez was maligned by whom or what? The establishment? The people under the malign influence of the establishment? Both? Other?

This seems to be a kind of news that is so rare,  one might even call it a novel situation. Maybe it was the novelty of it all that helped the situation to end up, seemingly, snuffed .... or maybe it's just me, but when I imagine what it might look like to open a dictionary to see what the picture really looks like when a true act of liberation is welcomed by the locals  showering the liberator[s] with flowers and candy bars, the act of getting rid of a central bank and it's attendant oil business is it.
