Re: whats the CAUSE of schizophrenia?

Thanks everyone for your indiviual suggestions. I'm a soon to be License Vocational Nurse and I have an open wound for the word "schizophrenia". Just the other day my professor was discussing about the illness and I shed a few tears in back of the classroom. Nurses arent suppose to show emotion in terminal situations but even working with a schizophrenic patient can break my heart. I sometimes question is healthcare field the position for me. Well yes, my mother is a Director Of Nursing and Registered Nurse.

Sometimes it does get tough and I know my uncle would kill me if I dropped out of the program because of my afraid of shizophrenic people. (sigh)
I think in my head "Things will get better....."
