Re: How can I naturally my hormone levels so I won't break out?
No stress.
No gluten.
Iodine.
Excercise.
Mostly raw, vegetarian diet.
Thats what I do anyway. I still have some breakouts but they all seem connected to either ANY gluten being ingested *hard lifestyle but I love it, I feel so clean* or large amounts of stress. Usually the ones I get related to stress are small and go away quickly. EDIT- I also wanted to mention I can eat any junk food for the most part as long as it doesn't contain gluten. I dont eat processed candy because I don't like it, but I can eat plain dark chocolate, ice cream, and gluten free chips and crackers and have no breakouts. So its not like you have to deprive yourself of goodies or anything. Just know what you can and cant have.
I personally believe that hormones only "hurt" us when something else is messed up in the body making them out of whack. Since going gluten free, working out and doing
Iodine therapy, my PMS and "hormone related" breakouts are reduced probably 60-70%. I'm still having food cravings and feeling a bit blah before my period but the bad PMS is reduced down from like two weeks before my period to a day or two. And the PMDD has vanished!
Cleansing is very important, but if I had to pick anything that really affects my skin and hormones and overall body more than anything, it would be that nasty poison wheat gluten. I did a LOT of cleansing that was sorta like one step forward one step back because while I was cleansing my liver and what not and that was good, I was still poisoning myself with gluten consistently.
Hope that helps!
