Re: Uric Acid

Joe thats why I mentioned the harvard study . It was done probably 30 plus years ago using school athletes, they concluded that the amount of uric acid in the blood played a role in affecting ones physical endurance.

Also as an aside the case of Johnny Weismuller the tarzan actor and olympic swimmer who became a vegetarian at an older age and went on to win in the olympics, is most interesting.

But uric acid is well known component in gout, kidney stones ect. Of course uric acid and urea are two different compounds.

Its funny how recently I heard a UCSD lecture by a young scientist who in speaking about some aspect of human biology mentioned that fats are where cells get their fuel, when that is the last place cells look, but in our age of diminshed health ect evan that is comonly missunderstood ,evan by "experts".

Recently on one of the forums I noticed someone mentioning the ketosis style diets again, to each their own but it is sad to me that positive feedback from congesting a body is still being considered helpful, because of basic missunderstanding of our systems.
