You have many people here whose thoughts and prayers are with you. Good for you, being there for your friend- hope he makes a dramatic recovery and whatever happens from here you will know that you did whatever you could. Who knows, you may have saved his life and you are right, this likely has a higher purpose and is part of something much bigger than yourselves.
