It's one thing to be popular and outgoing, but not its all its cracked up to be. Having a few good friends is better than a room full of shallow aquaintances. Don't know what your field of study is but an ambitious person is never unemployed for long. I have a degree in Chemistry and have worked 2 summer internships + two weeks in the real world lab in the 30+ yr since getting my degree. So there's hope you'll find a job or a position and make a few long lasting friendships.
