Re: Broke Down and Used Prescription Antibiotics!

Uh, how in the world would it be more detrimental to stop Antibiotics now than after giving them 6 months to do their dirty work? Doesn't make sense; they won't "cure" your Acne in 6 months. Most on this board don't believe much in pharmacueticals, as the companies have caused as much or more harm as they've helped with their drugs.

You can do what you want, but be forewarned; 6 months later you'll still have Acne and may have candida also, which will continue the Acne cycle. Still, many are fooled by the traditional medicine pill-for-everything mentality (I was!) and we, the public, pay the price. Just wish I had known then what I know now.

Antibiotics suppress bacteria, good AND bad types - which is how it starts candida by killing good bacteria. Funny thing is that although bacteria is involved in acne, it is not the reason for acne, as everyone has the same bacteria. Obviously there is another component modern medicine has not discovered.

Personally, my theory is that many factors make acne worse, but testosterone imbalance is a big one. I've had the most success from a supplement called saw palmetto, which balances testo. Also, a lotion with estrogen and progesterone (Transformation serum by marini) has been more effective than ANY acne topical I've ever used. Give them a try and if they work, you'll know it's testosterone out of whack. If not, back to the drawing board!
