Re: did any one else feel like just giving up on life???

I am so sorry you are in this situation, I would go to the ER they have to treat your condition, I would tell them you are having severe pain and side effects from the mirena and ask that it be takebn out, I had mine out in the ER. In the beginning I did feel like I wanted to just give up. I had anxiety, depression, and I also just wanted to sleep it away, I had no feelings but sadness, I would cry nonstop. Like you said I have 2 young boys and an amazing husband I am 18 weeks post removal and I have been put on 25mg of zoloft. I hate how the doc's are so into getting you to get the mirena in, yet it is like puling teeth to get them to take it out! Maybe showing your husband some of these post will help him understand, I did not want ANYTHING to do with sex or my husband at times, I am much better now, however I have a hard time achieving an orgasm due to the med. I don't know what else to say, I would ask the ER to take it out. They can't deny you. What state are you in? I would hate to see you keep the mirena in, especially with these effects they only get worse, there has to be a way you can get it out.
