And ass the gobalist empire moves forward with intentions on crushing the organic industry and polluting more and more produce with genetic manipulation, growing one's own food will be a necessary part of life for those wanting to maintain control of their food in their life.

Another area to consider is wild foraging such as edible plants in the wilderness. There are many good field guides to get one started.
