... and that is, you assume the children will adopt the same values as the parents and won't be absorbed into the American pop culture.

I told you I had seven children. I really would like to have 49 gradchildren and- hmmm, do I multiply by 7 again or do I square 49 to get the number of great-grandchildren I'd like to have? Christmas would be a zoo. But you know what? None of my children have indicated that they want that big of a family.

My projection is that Illegal Amigo may have the big family, send his bambinos to an American school, and in a generation, Hijo and Hija will adopt the 1.7 (OK, maybe 3.0) national birth rate average.
