My eczema getting better
Just thought I'd post a note to say how my skin is improving. I've tried lots of diets over the last year, most notable a six month candida stint. I've done enemas and one liver flush, a
parasite cleanse and a ban on all sugar, dairy and wheat. I admire the goodsamaritan's militant approach, but don't think it's viable for everyone, especially when you live in rainy Wales, not the Phillipines, where local fruit is in abundance. Anyway, I've had a bit of a breakthrough, and here's how my skin is improving: lots of quality zinc, B6, aim for 4-5 tablespoons of Udo's oil daily, lots of acidophillus powder and around a pint of carrot, celery, spinach and cucumber juice (courtesty of Janet Simpson). I tend to have half a pint, with the oil and acidophillus (plus barley grass juice powder) twice a day. I'm not too sure which of the above has the most impact, but I've seen the most dramatic results with zinc (few pills a day), B6 and Udo's oil (lots of) and acidophillus. I'm re-introducing dairy and wheat with no reaction as yet. Plus I'm experimenting with nightshades, also with no adverse affects yet. So, if you're looking to start, perhaps before giving everything up like I did, it might be worth introducing the things I've said. It goes without saying though that raw is best, and my skin regresses to its itchy state if I eat too much rubbish, or drink too much alcohol. But despite the call on the forum to eat a purely raw food diet, I am seeing improvements despite weekend chocolate and wine (sorry goodsamaritan!). Plus, my recurrent thrush, which I had attributed to candida and therefore adult eczema has gone, which I think is due to acidophillus. Only eat local produce and local, organic meat on principle! Apologies for lack of paragraphs - my note went longer than expected! Hope this helps anyone with sleepless, itchy nights!
