I have and use turmeric too as well as ginger.
I take half of the teaspoon of cayenne daily since a month or 2 and didn't get any problems yet. It is supposed to be great on heart which doesn't hurt to have in good shape :)
Regarding doctors, honestly I have never met good one. They all don't have any idea of other treatments then pharmaceutical drugs which is wrong in first place, because they treat not cause but the symptoms plus have 1000+ side effects.
My problems are most likely spine and stress related and to confirm that I'd need to do MRI I guess.
