Here's how I do it: I apply the amount I am using, then leave it uncovered for as long as I can so it can dry just a little on the outside and then I cover it with paper tape. (it is white medical paper tape, not the brown wrapping tape) Wal-Mart and CVS carry it. Try to find or have them order the 2 inch wide version. It is perfect for this because it covers the area but still lets it breathe a bit...and it's alot cheaper than band-aids.
