We could have it worse; my friend out West who has been helping people with bloodroot salves for 36 years told me of a lady who put some salve on a red spot on her back and an eschar (scab) the size of the diameter of half a cantalope came up. Then, in another area, one the size of the diameter of half a pineapple came up. So many came up they finally stopped counting at 72.( ! ) Most of them were much smaller than the first two; many were pinhead sized.

I have read of how back in the old days people would apply the salve, bandage it and go out and work in the fields all day.

But on the other hand I think when I disturb mine too much it does seem to slow the process down a bit... Tweet
