Should swimming in the ocean be avoided during fasting?

Should Epsom Salt baths be avoided during a fast?

I had some heavy detox problems during one fast, where my kidneys and bladder were burning most likely from the toxins they were working overtime to remove. An Epsom Salt bath seemed to eliminate the pain. I don't know if it was the salt or the warm bath or the combo?
