Re: water fasting inducing kidney stone passage?
Hi #31982,
by all accounts it is probably not a good idea to "flood yourself with water" on your next fast as this will in fact hinder the elimination process and just add another burden to the elimination organs: especially the kidneys.
Stones have been found to be caused by a faulty metabolism (caused by an unnatural and processed diet) with resultant abnormal secretions and excretions.
"Imprudent eating and heavy eating of carbohydrate foods by the enervated and toxemic, and a lack of exercise, are chief among the causes that produce gastrointestinal and bilary irritation leading to stone formation. They do not develop in healthy individuals, but in those who have broken down their health by years of wrong living."

"Until the stones have disintegrated (by fasting) and passed out as sand and gravel, eating should be largely confined to non-starchy vegetables and fresh fruits, and these UNCOOKED. Fats, starches and proteins should be taken very sparingly. If enervating habits are not discontinued, liver and kidney function will not become normal and more stones will form in spite of fasting and a correct diet."
