Hush, girl, you're gonna make me cry!

I really can't take credit for those words, Alikat. God used three men back in 1985, when mothers in my home town of Houston were being carted off to jail for teaching their own children how to read, to kindle a firey passion in my heart to do the will of God with the children He gave me and would subsequently bless me with. You know their names: Tim Lambert, of the above post to start this thread, Michael Farris of HSLDA, who at the time was just a young attorney from Virginia, and Greg Harris (Josh's Dad), who read this scripture out loud on a Friday night and it changed my life... I'm sure you know it well:

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord;

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might,

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart;

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 6: 4-7

There are two women who have given me encouragement: Texas girl Joyce Swann, whom God called to homeschool her ten children when NOBODY was doing it back in the 70's, and all of them had master's degrees by the time they were 16; and Julie McKim, another Texas girl, who with her husband and 11 children at the time (she later had two more), lived in Moscow as missionaries and was able to turn the heart of the head of Russia's Dept. of Education in the early 90's with the character and the talent of her children, which resulted in policy and curriculum changes in the entire country and opened the door for a flood of missionaries to minister in Russia (and yes, that's a run-on sentence lol).

I've also had one California pastor and two men, in particular, on Curezone, who have opened my heart and eyes to a much greater understanding of the two parallel operational worldviews/systems wherewith the planet and its inhabitants function. They know who they are.
