I actually agree with your doctor here (which is shocking).
They showed me a picture of the stone from the CAT scan and there was only one, and it was sitting right in the bladder. The CAT scan was done just minutes after the pain began to go away.
I also believe the doctor when they say that if the pain subsides and then returns like that it means the stone is getting stuck, and then eventually moving again.
I had bad pains for a few minutes last night, then they went away. They came back this morning, then went away. Then finally came back later on today and that's when it got so bad I had to go to the hospital.
