What is One's or One's community's consciousness to

create a tornado that destroys everything...or pert near everything...in less time than it takes to take shelter?

A friend lives in Alabama and she sent me a video clips from the news down there of cleanup afterwards. I typically do not watch news, not even when it is like this. Yet, I was watching several different clips and saw so many homes and businesses and peoples lives torn apart from a tornado that went through their home, in (it was being said) just about 20 seconds time.

I understand the fact that they survived (and several of them that commented understands this, as well) is the gift here. 98% of them had insurance.

Yet, as I initially asked, what is One's consciousness to create this?
