Re: "The Hidden Virtues of Magnificent Confusion"

Hello, S!

"but but but" is -it honestly seems to me- a perfect example of what *could* be "magnificant confusion"...worth pondering--or maybe just putting the 'question'/the confusion to God.

The way I see it, the (true) cross symbolizes the two directions in perfect balance: there's the direction of vertical alignment and in-spiration ('in spiriting'), and the plane of horizontal activity, or for that matter non-activity. Briefly, the horizontal plane can be about 'emitting' Light, or you can extend any of a multitude of 'frequencies' from the lowest to the crystalline.

At any rate, there *is* karma accrued --fact- since karma is creation through action, be that action word, deed or thought. There is also 'beginningless time; so consider the historical 'baggage'; the 'ancestral' string of beads : that ought to be enough to bring humility and thankfulness (and forgiveness) to *this* new moment. And make this a moment of awakeness. An opportunity for the Holy instant to enter. Only a relatively small number of beings in incarnation are able to live without accumlating karma--in this case they are fully awake (or enlightened) and their actions/words/deeds/thoughts are in alignment with Love and wisdom in perfect balance.

Back to you. :-) In the centre of the cross, "you", "me"... -- the Divine you, true you, radiant you who *appears to exist in form* -- rest. When you keep returning to that 'home base' of centre and rest *inside* the external swirl of activity, you strengthen that authentic self. Egoic self begins to fall away. "you" don't and can't do this 'on your own', through simply thinking yourself into a better or "higher" state. (That wouldn't make any sense, if you consider it from within this place of poise.) That me-myself-and-I course leads one further and further into identifying with this flesh and blood form as being *the* "I". The more that "you" is fed and consoled, distracted and entertained, the closer you are to developing a special relationship with the ego, such that you are now in the service of it. It is 'the one', maybe also seeking another 'the one'. Problem is, that 'oneness' is a false self that sees itself at heart as separate from all others (and God) and it seeks
to deify itself, either by making itself big or small--it all amounts to the same thing, while inside, there is that empty place of 'home'.

I wrote a long treatise on this yesterday, but I think it's too intense and sober for this forum, which I see as having more the frequency of encouraging enthusiasm and seeking. What I am more interested in is 'finding'. More accurately, of the centre point where the "I" rests and the eye comes awake, that single eye spoken of with this: If thine eye be single thy whole body shall be filled with light.
Of that place being "found". And losing the self. Words fail me, in articulating this.

Hard to be enthusiastic about ego, I know--it's such a sly operator, but there you go.

One last word about ego: just a friendly caution. It thrives on being told it is special, unique and that the whole world (of creation) is its oyster. That it is itself a god... That may be true at an *absolute* level, but in relative terms where most live and slowly climb the ladder of evolution, it is a lie. When a woman sings on those early A_H videos "you can have it if you want it, when you get out of the way" it's really ego that is in the way. Yet, if you keep feeding ego with ideas of 'you deserve whatever makes you feel good' there is only really ego hearing (or 'your authentic you' hearing through the dense filter of ego. How then, to get out of your own way?

I think that brings us full circle back to the but but but... and there IS a potential for putting the question, honestly, to God.

As has been said, you don't use the mind that created the problem to solve the problem!
