Re: The Daughthers of Babylon
I never heard of any Catholic movement as you mention, but it's not surprising to hear that they will reach out and embrace their own. The exposure of the Catholic priests in the last 30 years has no doubt broken many hearts. It's almost surprising for me to feel that there is more sincerity in the Catholic people than they are given credit for. I decided to leave the Catholic church when I was in the sixth grade (I left the CHURCH, the structure of Catholicism, not the people) because they taught about God in hypocrisy. I truly believed that leaving would OFFICIALLY make me a traitor to God and I should be excommunicated, burnt at a stake (killed) and forever damned (as I was taught, 10 years old). God already knew my reason for leaving, but I couldn't resist actually saying to Him that "I'm not leaving because I don't love you, I'm leaving because I do and cannot stay where they mock you". I felt that, if it is justice that I be killed as a traitor to God, then God's law must always be carried out, it is good, it is right and it is true (though He slay me, yet shall I love Him, Job).
Overall, the Catholic people have alot of misbeliefs (but simply because they are taught them) by a hierarchy that misleads them, but their heart is seen in their daily lives. It is this challenge to be condescending to them that is an offense to my heart (love doesn't make sense, it's just love). That is how God teaches/strengthens love.
I could imagine how you recieved backlash (retaliation) for that post, but if you could reveal just the NAME of that movement (the "change" you speak of), I could do my own research.
It amazes me how people who profess to be Godly will do such things as a 'predatory' search on the internet for someone else's post. I could understand your decision to delete the post, and will also trust your discretion if you decide not to reveal that NAME.
