In medicine, "blockage" and "obstruction" are used interchangably, although, obstruction is typically the more technical term. This condition is occasionally seen in small children after antihelmenthic treatment is administered and occurs from a massive bolus of dead worms, usually ascarid and considered a medical emergency (i.e. surgical). You may want to refrain from mentioning to a trained physician that you are suffering a bowel obstruction, lest they schedule you for an emergency surgery or perhaps simply consider you nuts (more likely).
