yada, yada, yada,....nothing has done more to control health spending in this country as much as Medicare. Quit whining. I know none of you have done anything to support a national health care plan [like every other civilized country on the planet] so I don't really have any sympathy. You are the same people who complain that our postal service is corrupt and inefficient. Let me tell you two things. One: I have mailed things to and from 7 countries and nobody is more reliable. Two: I have never waited in a post office long as long as I wait in a WalMart line. Medicare works. It's underfunded because people are selfish and stupid and lazy. People get the government they deserve. Personally, I have friends who have lost medical licenses as a result of Medicare fraud. They do alright with compliance. At least as good as private health insurance fraud. Re: secure horizons: you do have options. You have options specifically because Big Health Care is doing everything they can to silence people like you so that they can retain their obscene profits. Personally, I'm dying, so can't detail.... Look into establishing a good Bangkok connection for cheap meds via internet. Use local health dept clinics. Shop alternative plans. There's hundreds of them.
