Re: questions about internal cleanse?
Well, unfortunately nobody's yet come up with a cure for acne, though we all have our theories. My theory is that candida(yeast) causes my acne; when I control the candida, my
Acne improves dramatically. All the foods you describe in your diet encourage candida. I'd suggest trying a natural anti-candida, anti-bacterial supplement like olive leaf and see if there is any improvement - unfortunately, you must also cut the junk food or the candida keeps multiplying. If you improve, you'll know that is the cause.
I'm a big fan of liver cleanses, but they never did a thing for my acne. Also, I'd wonder about the effects on you as you say you did a lot of damage to your liver during teenage years...I'd wonder what kind of damage and how you know it's damaged before subjecting the liver to the cleanse; some people on this board suffered from TOO many cleanses and stressed out their livers.
But my experience and observation of others causes me to believe
Acne is not about "cleansing", per se.
Regarding hormones and cramps, I've heard magnesium deficiency can cause these issues, especially cramps. Many have this deficiency as we live in a calcium-rich (dairy) society, which apparently "fights" with magnesium, hence deficiencies. You might try it; it's cheap and easily available, but you must take it for a few months to actually feel it's effects as it takes awhile to saturate the tissues after a deficiency.
Your problem might be hormone imbalance; ever consider getting them tested? You might have too much testosterone, which also encourages acne. However, I'd advise NEVER to take synthetic (only natural, bio-identical) kinds if needed. Good luck.
