stalking concept, it ruined courtship

The whole "stalking" concept has really messed up the whole courtship protocol. Exactly when did all this hype about stalking get introduced in to mass media? It seems to me, & I'm still young, that I've never even heard of it, & then all of a sudden it's in the movies & all over the news & magazine covers, & then women became afraid of men who were too ambitious towards courting them & men became afraid of looking like a stalker.
Blatant lying, & stonewalling, caller-ID... probably had a lot to do with it too. I was accused of making too many phone calls, & harassing someone, someone who agreed that we would go on a date & talk, & I called to make arrangements 4 times max, no more than once a day. It was never answered, except for once when her room-mate told me she was in the shower. I did not call back after that, but she made a huge deal of all the phone calls to many other people that we knew. Things just are not fair sometimes. Who said it was OK to lie? Who said it's ok to schedule a date & then stonewall? Who makes these rules? People who make up their own morality are worshiping their own false god that they have carved in their imaginations. Pagans are better off because at least their gods have a physical reality in their altars & statues, but these people who profess to be Godly & lie, cheat & do whatever they feel is right, even if it blatantly goes against the sacred commandments, are mere hypocrites living in the lands of their own lies & deciet.
