I rarely post anymore but ocassionally get the time to read a few selected forums which now mainly include the spiritual/energetic. :)

I can't speak in Abraham lingo as I'm new to theirs but felt to share part of my experience on the matter. I was going to explain a bit but I feel to share this specific experience/realization I had several years ago.

I think I am pretty empathic to people's emotions sometimes. And I would easily get sucked into them and start playing my own negative emotions right along with theirs. One time I was at the grocery store and I could feel myself getting very emotionally withdrawn because the checker was in a rude, bad mood with other customers. And it occurred to me that I was allowing my vibration to be influenced by hers (altho I wasn't so conscious of it at the time).

I just suddenly took a deep breath, stood up straight and 'felt' myself confident and positive. I also acknowledged her emotionally/mentally (silently) and accepted her as she was then. We had a pleasant exchange and I didn't continue feeling her severe negativity.

I also have developed better self confidence and self understanding to that point that I don't buckle so much to others. This naturally comes from practice and experience. :) I can be present to witness others perceived problems and ailments (I am in the healing arts) in a very detached but compassionate fashion. I've realized it's not my job to 'fix' their problems (for a long time I believed it was).

I agree part of it is focusing on positive and what you want. It's also beneficial to accept, and not resist, that in others and yourself. You're doing this already, all of our feedback, and of course your own, is your very firm confirmation of your progress! :)

Oh, seems like I'm writing a lot of blah-blah tonight! :)
