Re: Arnold "Welcome to my bathroom!"
(said the spider to the fly-he, he, he)
Hi Margie,
Being in a Bathroom represents a secret place, where the company of others is usually not desired. It also represents cleanliness, (next to godliness); ritual cleansing. To dream that you are standing, suggests that you are asserting yourself and making your thoughts/feelings known. It also indicates that you are proud of yourself. To see a wash bowl in your dream, denotes a new interest resulting in much joy and contentment will occupy your time. To dream of the entrails of a wild animal or beast (lion), denotes the defeat of your enemy.
As a group, the bathroom could represent your personality at the time. A private person, who pondered things within themselves, and did not like the intrusion of others in your private life. I don't know how old you were, but the standing may represent you were asserting yourself as an individual. The results/cause may have been a new found self that you were proud of and brought joy and contentment. It may also be at that time you discovered an interest that maybe you are still following today. The defeat of the enemy may have been something you had been fighting, and through your assertive actions and newfound interest had defeated whatever had been a concern.
Regardless, I would say this was a very positive aspect of your life at the time. Things were changing, you were asserting yourself, you were over coming obstacles, and had found some things that were bringing a lot of joy and contentment to your life. I would say at that time you were feeling pretty positive about who you were, or wanted to be.
To smell something in your dream indicates you're past experiences and feelings with that particular smell. Your dream is trying to convey a feeling by associating it with a familiar smell or scent. Alternatively, the scent may be part of your real environment, which you have incorporated into your dream.
I know for myself, when finishing up in the bathroom, everything smells like roses. So instead of feeling sickened by the smell, I may have dreamt of a fresh spring breeze that brought ecclesiastical pleasure. The little birdies would have been happily chirping tweet, tweet, tweet. The rabbits would have been merrily scampering about in the field. The squirrels would have been joyously chattering in the trees. To say it succinctly, the ebb and flow of nature would have been in perfect harmony. So, it may have been while you were asleep, someone used the bathroom, you caught a whiff, and you're subconscious said, "what the h*ll died".
To dream that you or others are sick denotes discordance and trouble in your life. It may also signal a part of you that needs to be healed, either physically or mentally. Perhaps you are wallowing in your own self-pity. You need to quit feeling sorry for yourself. To dream that you are avoiding something in your dream, suggest that you are not confronting some aspect of yourself. Consider what aspects and characteristics of the person you are avoiding which you are not recognizing in yourself. Alternatively, this word may also be a pun for "a void" in your life that you have been unable to fill.
Even though there were some positive aspects of your life, there were still some things that you were not addressing. I would say they were minor within the bigger scheme of things. However, at the time, they may have been a source that was a little over whelming. By the nature by which they were portrayed in your dream, I would say they were things that you may not have had control over, but were a hindrance at the time.
Mirrors symbolize the imagination and a link between the conscious and unconscious.
symbolize the imagination and a link between the conscious and unconscious.
Not sure what to say. Depending upon whether you see yourself or others the subconscious could be trying to say any number of things.
To see people you know as statues in your dream, symbolizes a lack of communication with that person and that the relationship is inflexible. On a more positive note, it may represent someone you idealize and admire. For a pregnant woman, to dream of gold, foretells that your expected child will be a girl.
I really can't tie this back to anything. There is nothing that is related. However, based upon everything else, I would have to ask if you were having some disagreements with your parents at the time? In addition, were you pregnant?
To see a monkey in your dream, symbolizes deceit people are working to advance their own interest. Monkeys also symbolize a playful and mischievous side of your own personality or an immature attitude. To dream that someone or something is evil denotes a repressed and/or forbidden aspect of your self. This part of your self may be seeking recognition and acknowledgment. Alternatively, evil may also be a reflection of your strong, negative emotions like hate, anger, etc?
Again, these all seem to be unrelated outside of a possible " mischievous side of your own personality"????
As a whole, outside of the ability of my bowel movements to have a spiritual impact upon the harmony of life, I'm a little at a lost.
I had to take a day to think about this, and I'm not any more "enlightened" than when I stopped yesterday. The thing that really throws me off is the Gold monkeys, with emphasis upon the Gold. There were some things on Gold, but they didn't make sense. So based upon the one thing that could have hypothetically be applied, but this is probably way off base:
My impression is you were pregnant (Gold). Your parents were not supportive (Monkey-decent people). You decided either you loved the father, or loved the unborn child (Sink). Thus setting the stage for asserting yourself, and making your interests known (standing) up to your parents. You were proud of yourself (standing). Even though you were a private person (bathroom), you stood up to your parents (entrails). Even tough you felt positively about your unborn child, (avoiding) the smell and feeling (sick) from the smell indicates there were some misgivings about the situation. I think the (mirror) was indicating a conflict between what you felt, and what your subconscious was telling you. Somewhere you were having a miscommunications/argument (statue/figurine). Either between your parents, or the baby's father.
So spider, the fly is within your grasp.
Popoe's is interesting also. I'll have to take a look at that one, but the weekend is coming to an end very quickly.
Thanks,
Arnold
