Not necessarily. Saliva pH as you mentioned is fairly stable and only dips in extreme conditions. The urine pH is a much better indicator as that is what the body has to get rid of to try to balance itself.

The real situation is the blood pH and the cellular pH. If the blood pH is below 7.3 then that is a bad sign. The lower, the worse it is.

Any doctor will tell you that the body regulates the blood pH between 7.25 and 7.40 but what they fail to see is that those with a blood pH below 7.30 are almost always sick. The lower it is the sicker they are. The immune system starts not working at about pH 7.28 and your organs start suffering damage just below that. You go into pH shock at pH 7.24 and die if it is not immediately recovered.
