And, I think that it's safe to say that those that are "anti" calcium supplementation are not necessarily so when it comes to dealing with fluorosis. I personally feel that short-term supplementation is proved to be a good idea to assist in removal of fluoride.
Calcium is a tricky issue. There is no doubt that it is overprescribed and used as a panacea. Japanese women do not have near the rates of osteoporosis that American women do, and they do not eat dairy...or take calcium supplements...
Is it a lack of calcium or a faulty calcium metabolism ... ?
