No Need to be Sorry

Hi,

Thanks.

Not sure what to think. The River of the Holy Spirit. The representation of a river on a map being drawn by a stick represents a spiritual path.

So being on top of the hill represents I am not going to progress beyond where I am today. The map represents my current life. The village community, simplicity and tradition... or what I understand what the world to be. The huts indicating basic necessities and comforts. Since they were not defined (just lines in the dirt) it either means I need to determine what is important, or it indicates I need to leave them behind.

So the path out is a spiritual one?

So if I take the spiritual path that leads to the valley it means a positive change resulting in happiness and peace.

The sea represents my unconscious, and the transition between my unconscious and conscious. Also, my emotions, memories, soul, and collective experiences. It could also be a pun on my understanding and perception of the situation. The horizon represents goals and future plans. The storm clouds could represent an impending eruption of emotions, but also represents a lack of wisdom or confusion in some situation.

The most pronounced aspect of the dream was the drawing of the map. So I would say that is the most significant. I followed the line of the river to the valley, so that is indicating the results of the path. I followed the valley with my eyes to the horizon. The path of the river ended in the valley. May I just assumed the destination was beyond that (over the horizon). I did not observe the sea, but knew it was there. So my emotions, memories, soul, and collective experiences are there, but were not the focus of the dream. The horizon are future plans after I’ve reached the valley??? The storm clouds being a lack of wisdom or confusion (family, work, friends).

I don’t know. I don’t put a lot of weight in the meta-physical aspect of things. I’ve been down that road, it has always lead no where. God abandoned me long ago, to use an expression. I do think my subconscious is recognizing things that my conscious is not accepting. This can be any number of things including ego, pride, being obstinate, past history, etc.

That was good input. It was a different perspective of thinking. However, it would be a major paradigm shift for me.

Arnold
