Re:Sprouting, soil augments and maximizing nutrient uptake.

Hello Ivan I grow 3-5 litters a month not a day of alfalfa.I grow alfalfa for 5-9 days depending on how the growing conditions are.Right now its closer to 9 days do to the cold temps. and the short days of winter. This amount is more than enough for my personal needs. As far as growing in a growing medium/soil augments I grow wheat, barley grass along with buckwheat and sunflower greens. My favorite is sunflower greens do to fact they can be juiced, blended or eaten as greens. As far as refreshing the growing medium goes I reuse my flats after they have been worked over in the compost pile.I then use about 60% compost and 30% vermiculite and some mushroom compost from the local greenhouse along with some food grade kelp and some azomite/crushed rock. The vegatative state of wheat/barley grass is up to the jointing stage. This is where the nutrients are at there maximum and afterwards the plant uses these nutrients for plant growth. The best way to drink grass juice is to swish it in the mouth until the saliva is mixed readily with the juice. This can be difficult do to taste but all food should be chewed properly for digestive reasons this includes juice.Mixing juice is not really an issue for a healthy person and is a mute point from an enzyme point of view.I dont know much about enemas but using poor grade juice in any fashion would be well poor.Oh did you look at my pictures in the Image Gallery here at curezone? And if you have pictures of your grass you can download them in the Image Gallery so we can see what you are talking about.Talk to you latter.Jeff.
