Wheathgrass soil, H2O2, mold
Hello,
I grow wheatgrass in flower boxes with soil to which I regularly add soil aditives with
Ca, Mg, Fe in form of zeolites to maintain soil.
My procedure is:
1. Prepare the soil and put seeds in trays on soil.
2. Put the boxes on windows
3. First harvesting ( cutting )when the wheatgrass is for a 5 to 10cm in width
4. Leaving for another harvesting cycle
5. After that I pull out the wheatgras with roots
and mix the soil. I cut the roots and this second harvesting plants I use for
juice
6. After that I mix and refresh the soil in the box.
7. I put the seeds of water-cress or alfa-alfa
for intermediate
8. After water-cress or alfa-alfa is 2 or 3
cm in width I
pull out with roots and usit in salads with sprouts.
9. After that I begin new cycle with wheatgrass
put the seeds and once more for two harvesting.
My question!
After first harvesting I get mold between plants on soil.
I know because of winter time I have boxes indoor on windows and that way now in winter I can guaarantee enough light and fresh air to prevent molds.
But still!
Can I oxidizing this soil with after-first harvest ( cut plants one time ) with
30% peroxid- H2O2. I would spray the plants and soil. I am not sure if 30%
H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) would
be too strong for plants ( could harm the leaves and roots )?
3% diluted
H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) seems too weak. It doesn't help.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Happy New Year and lot of warm hearts and souls aroud us in 2008.
