Re: dairy

I HAVE been slipping haven't I??? Sorry for the delay.

Dairy, not good. But then again, what about butter? Then Cheese. Any of it good for you???

Good question.

A couple of years ago I decided to test it. I'm in Amish country here in Michigan so I bought a percentage of an Amish cow so I could get milk that wasn't processed, had no hormones or synthetic vitamins in it, from cows that were range fed.

About a month into it I noticed my sinuses clogging up. At the two month mark my breathing was getting short. Had trouble getting a deep breath. Hmmmm. Apparently they're right, once weened man is not supposed to have milk, especially from an animal. Nowhere else in nature does the animal go back to milk once weened. Yet my cat loves milk.

I'm an advocate of eating butter instead of margarine. And one of my favorites dishes is Buffalo Hot Wings, blue cheese dressing and all. I call it my cure-all. Well, wings and whiskey. Cure anything known to man.

Is dairy good for you??? I don't think so. Milk for sure is not. Butter has some omega threes in it and is much more preferrable than margarine, and the cheeses ? I like them but they do seem to congest me a bit.

So overall I'd say dairy is NOT good for you. But it's not legal to have chocolate chip cookies without milk. Or Buffalo wings without blue cheese. So if your diet is good most of the time and you're reasonably healthy go ahead and enjoy those things every now and then, give your body some cleaning to do. But if you're seriously ill stay away from them.
