Push for tetanus vaccination

Does anyone know why there is this strong push to do tetanus vaccinations? Everytime i've gone to urgent or emergency care, or visited my regular doctor they always want to know when was my last tetanus shot. Then, my ex-husband took our daughter for her 3yr well baby care and was going to have her vaccinated with one vaccination. Now, she hasn't been had a vaccination since 9 mos of age, and has quite a few to catch up, but guess which one she walked out with?

Later that evening, she spiked a really high fever, yelled and cried in the middle of the night saying 'my arm hurts, my arm hurts' and the fever last for several days. has anyone been given the tetanus vaccination push/ Tweet
