The mercury and candida are symbiotic, mercury kills off the good bacteria that the body needs and that would control the candida, absent the mercury. Iorganic mercury is extremely toxic to bacteria and yeast, but candida can methylate inorganic mercury to methyl mercury, which through some mechanism does not kill the candida. Irregardless of mercury, candida when its killed gives off powerful toxins. I'm not sure whether candida provides any protection from mercury, but a person with mercury and candida usually has serious health issues. The only way to deal with them is to get rid of mercury dental fillings and mercury sources. The largest source in most is dental Amalgam fillings http://www.flcv.com/damspr1.html
One can't get rid of candida permanently with dealing with the mercury.
Not feeding the candida, by avoiding sweets and refined carbohydrates will reduce candida problems.
