Re: Crib Death? Why!

The protien link does make sense, researchers always say that breastfeeding is best and it can help protect a baby against SIDS. This makes sense because breast milk is only 4% protien while cows milk found in formula is 50% protien. God or some call it nature made it this way for a reason. Mothers milk is without a doubt the very best for babies. I read that a long time ago and I wondered why breastmilk hardly has any protien in it and it makes sense now. I have a 4 month old little boy and I want to do everything I can to protect him. My son was born by emergency C-section and the section had delayed my milk coming in causing my body to go into shock. My milk came in on the 6th day after I had him because I just kept working at it getting him to suck and using the pump to stimulate them. It was soo hard and painful but I knew I had to breastfeed because of the benefits. Thank goodness I did not give up. Soo many mothers do because it is hard at first. Its worth it to get help if there are problems. My husband and I have also decided not to vaccinate him until he is a lot older and even then we may not vaccinate but we have not decided for sure. I think the first 2 years of life should at least be vaccine free so that babies can build up their immune systems.
