It sounds like you are not living with this person...GOOD. It will be much easier to get away.

I would suggest telling this man (and this for all the FUTURE women) that he needs counseling. And then I would break up with him. I wouldn't even bother seeing him, because we women often need "closure". Forget the closure, just walk away. Change your number. He does not love you really, he misses the control he has over you, nothing more. Oh, I suppose these men do feel some amount of love, but it's the control they love more than the woman.

There is a whole life out there where you don't need to feel fear or demoralization. Take the lessons you learned in the relationship and apply them to your future relationships.
