Re: Soap and Hair Washing

Hi Chris,

Your avatar is VERY cool!!!

When I learned about cold showers, it was when I was doing an Amazon Rainforest herbs cleanse. We (there were 4 of us doing this, at the same time) did yoga each night and learned a cleanse, as well as using the product.

She (the woman who was facilitating the cleanse) told of how in the evening she bathed and cleaned herself. In the morning, she would dry brush and then apply oil, whichever choice she had (I had used Olive oil, I think she was using Seasame and the other women, I do not remember) and then got in the COLD shower and rubbed her body down. She said to stay in there for several minutes.

Almond oil, I would presume, is the oil that One uses for massage or whatever. I use EVOliveOil for my body moisturizer and Apricot oil for my face. When my Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil finishes, I will begin using the Apricot oil for my body as well. I, also, add frankencinse essential oil to both of the oils.

To use oil in your hair, I can not help you with. I use oil for my face...mixture of castor and olive oil...but have not used oil to clean with, on my head. I did a 'cleanse' with olive oil on my hair (you can check the hair forum out and see if anyone has used that).

Good luck, Chris. May your holidays exceed your expectations!

Peace,
Beth
