Was interested in this myself as I know it is in a probiotic prep that allows the good bacteria to adhere better to the intestinal walls. Referring to plantain.
There's a lot of it around, huh!
Am quoting from "Back to Eden" book. This is what I have for major reference. " The tea kills worms in the stomach and the bowels. Soothing, cooling effect on sores and ulcers. Used for piles and hemorrhoids, will check bleeding. For diarrhea, kidney and bladder trouble, aching in the lumbar region, bedwetting, TB and syphilis. Excellent for healing fresh or old woudns or sored, internally or externally.
Herbalism is quite a study. I love reading, but would have to go back and use my references frequently. There is just so much to think about and remember.
