Newport, doesn't malaria come from the anopheles mosquito? I am in the northern part of the US. Did get bitten by tick once as a kid when I had to dig it out of by my hairline in the back. Do ticks carry malaria? I know they carry lyme. Have been in the south of the northern states taking pix in tall grass where someone told me a lot of ticks were. (I was a dummy at times) overrun by my photographic exuberance and lack of heed for any type of danger like this. I didn't think we had too much to be afraid of for stuff like this up north here like people do in the southern part of the US and in southern countries. Maybe this is an enlightenment. Thanks for any more on this.
