Re: is this normal after stopping treatment?
Hi Joyce,
I've read your posts, and I imagine you regret that salad in Guatamala. I know I wish I'd never been exposed. Is it possible that instead of die off, you are just experiencing
parasite symptoms?
It's hard for me to get through the die off symptoms, I'm doing it now, but at this point I'd rather be feeling sick and killing them off than healthy and expreiencing what I know to be signs they are active. I was very ill from the
parasites when I started experimenting to see what would help me, and my original symptoms sounded a lot like yours. Also add daily nausea, night sweats, candida infections, yellowish skin, unbelievable fatigue, overwieght, food cravings, (especially for
Sugar and andything with vitamin b in it) and generally swinging from anxiety to depression. Depending on the day. And frequent urinary tract infections, head colds, flue-like symptoms, swollen joints, and more fatigue.
I think my liver was so overloaded, and my colon was so packed up, it's surprising I had anything at all resembling a life. I really thought I was going to die, soon, and I think I would have if I hadn't given up expecting an MD to fix it for me, and started experimenting on myself.
I think it's very scary to have a medical condition that is as taboo as parasites. Hence, anxiety and depression. Could some of your symptoms be from what infected you in the first place? The face flushing often goes with anxiety, as well as racing heart and even symptoms that mimic heart attack. And please understand that I don't think you are crazy because you have a scary medical condition, and you are scared. I remember how scared I was when I started this. I was talking about it today with my husband, at least I know this stuff isn't going to kill me, although sometimes the die off really feels like I'm on the way out along with the parasites. It's now easier for me to get through, and when I'm not doing anti-
parasite herbs, I really feel a gret deal better than I did when I started. But it's been more than a year for me now. I had a horrible infestation, and what I have now is less, but if I let it alone, it will go right back to really bad in a hurry.
I don't know much about vitamin deficiencies, but I suspect that parasitic infections really drain you of many vital nutrients. This could also be a cause of what you are currently suffering.
I suspect that the
parasites also affect behavior, they make you lethargic, and they have adapted to living inside you over a very long period of time. What better way of staying alive that to excrete something that makes your host so miserbale they don't have the energy to get rid of you? Emotions are caused by neurotransmitters, which are chemicals within your brain. There is documentation of
parasites affecting other types of hosts other than humans, I really think we aren't that much different than a Moose or a grasshopper.
If you are still taking benedryl it does make some people really hyper. It also can be addictive. It may be that your body has changed it's reaction to benedryl, or that the dose that you used to use is now too much for you because you have killed off some parasites, and now the drug's reaction has changed.
There are a lot of reasons, my first suggestion is to get off the benedryl, if you haven't done so and see what happens. If you take tryptophan before you go to sleep, or use any of the herbs than calm you down, and relax you instead, you might be feeling better. chamomile tea is a good one.
I hope you feel better soon,
Julie
