While it's great that everyone has pre-judged the information based on the past deeds of the source, I'm sure the topic creator (and anyone else who was curious about this) would be interested in hearing from someone who actually read the book.
I know for a fact that collection agencies can't legally do anything to you to make you pay them, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that there is a "magic phrase" to make them go away.
Also, paying back money borrowed is one thing, but we're talking about credit card debt. Those plastic bastards are the biggest scam out there. Those companies survive by people getting in over their head. Compared to them, Kevin's harmless.
