Something else that might help
I know I read this somewhere!
When you shower, I'm sure it feels very very good to take a hot one. I know I've done it, and when I'm cold.
BUT, when you're all done showering, (and trust me, this is still hard for me too) then turn the water to COLD (or as cold as you are able to handle) and let it run down your body. Head to toe. Down your spine for immunity - but let it HIT your throat where your thyroid is and let it run down from there, too.
This rinsing off in cold water is EXCELLENT for immunity, circulation, and stimulating your thyroid. I would imagine there are other benefits as well.
I think the article I read said that you truly don't need more than 30 seconds. Yes, it's THE most difficult 30 seconds of my day. No doubt. I believe that in Scandinavia they go from steam hut to a cut hole in the ice, and they're pretty darn healthy up there, so there must be something to this!
The payoff is tremendous. I don't need to sleep in my flannel jammies anymore. Or my footies. Or my winter hat.
Get the picture? (No, not that picture, I don't sleep nekkid!) lol
