Thanks very much Chris, I have just read all of the Google book, it is quite impressive, it ties in with my instincts and what I have read elsewhere. I think my relative will get a hard copy of this for Christmas, or sooner, if I get a suitable opportunity.

I agree that the chief obstacle to fasting is as per your quote.
