Re: from Uni
I miss uny. She is a real critical thinker. I wish she would show up once in a while. I've no dispute with her logic.
Regarding sodium chloride (salt). It is a compound formula and not the same a chloride.
Iodine does not displace sodium chloride. She is correct about that.
Now, consider this. Hydrogen and oxygen exist in a compound called water. Is the body as good as a nuclear fission device that can separate the atoms? I'm not sure what mechanism would be required for that. Maybe water breaks down. What about hydrogen peroxide? It is know that h2o2 does break down by loosing one oxygen atom; but if water lost its oxygen atom, what would it be? Maybe we would blow up or float.
We do get chlorine from various sources; even free floating in out water supply. If we had a nuclear fission mechanism in the body, we could make salt.
The same is true for chlorine dioxide (MMS). You are not ingesting chlorine.
I hope there are some chemists around to verify this.
Regarding bromides: more bromides show up in urine while a large enough quantity of
Iodine is consumed. Same for fluoride.
