Re: Bursitis and sugar: hip and shoulder bursitis

I read your post with interest as I have dibilitating bursitis in both hips since '98. I have eaten 100% raw for 90+ days, so I definitely have not had any sugar. My diet change has enabled me to sleep for 8 hours and I do think the ability to get into deep sleep has helped my joints until this week when I had the worst flareup I have experience. There is no explanation for what brings on these acute attacks. I also cannot exercise and was an avid walker 7 years ago. Like you I have had shots in both hips 3 or 4 times; been to two rheumatologists; two othopedic surgeons. After shots and physical therapy they all say there is nothing they can do. It is very frustrating. I have not faithfully done the stretching exercises so I am trying to follow through on those for next few months. I also wish there was a miracle cure and I have read about the surgery.

My GP recently did Lyme test and I asked for test for gout. I saw on Discovery TV about a young man who was disabled due to bursitis/arthritis in his joints and during exploratory surgery discovered he had gout in his elbow....my tests were negative. You may want to test for Lyme and gout.

Any miracle ideas out there?
