Tooth Enamel Damage? "Translucent" teeth!

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has experienced a sort of darkening or increased transparency in the teeth...? Not by the gums but where the teeth meet. I was looking in the mirror today and I noticed this...I check my teeth fairly often to see how the gums are doing, so it is pretty new. But they are definitely sort of darker -- not stains on the outside, but because it looks like some of whatver makes them white has gone away.

I am a little freaked out since I have been taking lots of Vitamin C and just read that C can harm the enamel on the teeth -- it would be a real shame if my teeth survived all I did to them only to succumb to Vitamin C.

Thanks,

Laura
